I can hardly believe this.
Last night we received another visitor to our blog via a Bill Gullickson search. Who knew ex-journeymen pitchers were so popular?
I’m telling you – my idea to ditch the stadium tour idea and turn this into a Bill Gullickson-themed blog is slowly gaining steam.
I’ll let you know how that pans out.
In the meantime, here are a couple links I want to pass along on this dreary February morning afternoon.
(Is it spring yet?)
Linkage:
- The guy behind the Mets Guy in Michigan blog is leafing through Josh Pahigian’s “101 Baseball Places to See Before You Strike Out” and sharing his stories of when he visited some of the 101 places.
- A couple from Elba Township, Mich. has visited 37 baseball stadiums together. If baseball teams would stop building new stadiums, they wouldn’t have to go back to certain cities to see the new parks.
- Now that the Oakland Athletics won’t be moving to Fremont, the city of San Jose is stepping up to try to lure them. One of the potential snags, however, is that Santa Clara County is San Francisco Giants country, and the league has rules in place regarding territorial rights. But Bud Selig sent a letter to the owner of the A’s — a former frat buddy — letting him know he has permission to seek out other communities.
Only 36 more days until Opening Night.
