So much for our chance to see Gary Sheffield hit his 500th homerun in person.
The Detroit Tigers just released him, citing a need for “more versatility.”
As Tigers fans, we’re a little confused as to why this happened, but having Marcus Thames as the full-time DH does boost our spirits.

The only link worth passing along this week is the New York Times’ review of Citi Field.
As you could tell by our scores, we came away less-than impressed with Shea Stadium, and it became clear that the outdated structure had to go.

It’s official!
Your favorite road-trippin, beerwater-swillin, horseplay-causin’ dudes are locked and loaded to make the trip to the Great White North to cross off the sixth stadium on our list: Rogers Centre.
