Is Thames going to be the full time DH? Carlos Guillen doesn’t exactly have a spot in the OF everyday with Anderson likely picked up to play LF and I would guess Guillen is more likely to be fulltime DH than Thames.

I hear that.

Although, one positive we might get out of this recession is more privately-funded stadiums. Or, more stadiums with a larger percentage of private funding.

That can’t be a bad thing.

Yeah, and let’s even ask the tax payers for more money to fund these jainormous, cushy spectacles they call stadiums! When they can’t afford to go in the first place.

You’re right; there’s a clear overlap if you’re looking at the scoreboard from the box seats down the third base line. I can’t wait to see who’s ad is covered up.

The same thing happened at Comerica Park. A tiny portion of the upper deck juts out in front of the bottom left-hand corner of the scoreboard.

That’s just poor design.

I noticed a very peculiar flaw in Citi Field. One that has me scratching my head. The two scoreboards (the main one and the smaller one to its right) do not stand side to side, but instead the main one is in front of the smaller one. In other words, it overlaps the smaller scoreboard and blocks it from view if you are looking at it from the seats in the left OF. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, go to this link and notice the placement of the two scoreboards:

Now do you see what I’m talking about? Is it just me or is that rather odd?

Btw, Citi Field will also have an HD scoreboard(s).

Thanks for the links. Both Stadiums look like crap. Yankee stadium is off in a few places, they must have started this a long time ago before the real stadium was finished.
